The Dubai Fountain This is the largest choreographed fountain show in the world and is set on a 30-acre man-made lake with the Burj Khalifa as the backdrop. There are 6,600 lights, 25 coloured projectors, and shoots water up to 500 feet in the air. Unsurprisingly, this fountain cost $200+ million to build. However, the Queen's Guard did end up marching right beside us as well so we still got a good view of them.

Eiffel Tower Beam of Light We went up to Tour Montparnasse which was the tallest skyscraper (210 metres or 689 feet) in France until 2011. Golden Palais Garnier I felt that the interior of the Palais Garnier was more grand than even that of the Palace of Versailles. Buckingham Palace Although we got to Buckingham Palace over an hour early for the Changing of the Guard, it was already really full... we couldn't even get a spot on the same side of the palace and had to stand across the street. However, the Queen's Guard did end up marching right beside us as well so we still got a good view of them. Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is one of the most spectacular sites I've ever visited. The inside was impeccably grand but also very sombre. Tower Bridge Tower Bridge is one of the most famous and widely-recognized landmarks in London. Glowing Shard Even after a long day of walking around we managed to pick ourselves up out of the hotel room and go take a few a night shots. Streaking Lights The sun had just set as we made it to Big Ben clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. Shanghai 浦东 (Pudong) Waterfront This is a view of the famous Pudong District (浦东) in Shanghai from the equally famous Bund (外滩). 云冈石窟 (Yungang Grottoes) These grottoes are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and showcase examples of ancient Chinese Buddhist rock carvings. Although some of the carvings have eroded with time, the detail on some of the better preserved examples is stunning.
